![]() I have an older laptop (10.5 years old), running Windows 10, and it takes it some time for it to get "settled" when booting, not surprisingly. It is most definitely not a malware-related issue. Another issue is the tremendous number of tasks and processes that your computer launches on booting, which is more than the average, so yes, you might consider reducing the number of programs you launch on boot. You have a very capable computer, but the lack of free space on the boot drive may be responsible for some of the problem. The icon refresh issue is most likely related to the load on your computer during booting. ![]() Many users never thank us, and we are all unpaid volunteers, who have spent many hours learning the malware removal "trade", and then volunteer countless hours helping others.
